First Birthday Cake Smash | Jackson, Michigan Child Photographer

I don't typically do cake smash sessions... not because I'm against them, but I just haven't thought about offering them.   My daughter just turned one (where does time go??) and we decided to do a quick little cake smash with her.  It was so cute to see her try to eat her little cake.   This will definitely be an option for clients doing 1-year sessions from now on.  SO FUN!

Snowflakes and Purple Balloons | Jackson Michigan Child and Family Photographer

Super quick session with this awesome family tonight.  Little George has curls to die for, and was such a trooper in the cold.  He didn't last long, but it was long enough to get some great images.  I was excited when Kate told me they were wearing pops of purple, so I stopped by the Ballooney Bin and picked up a bunch of purple balloons.   George lost interest after the wind blew them into him one too many times, but they were perfect while they lasted!

One of my mini session families came all the way from Ohio to meet me.  We've been "Facebook Friends" for awhile now (as we have a few mutual friends in common... you know how that goes), and it was SO nice to finally meet Shannon and her family in person!  Adelyn and Collin are DARLING!  They gave me a run for my money but.... nothing I'm not used to with little ones!  We were cracking up by the end of the session... by the time we'd get one in place nicely and get the other situated, the first was popping back up and distracted by something else.  It was hilarious.  Never fear, we got some adorable shots though!

Three Princesses | Jackson Child Photographer

This beautiful family and I have sort of a running tradition.... no session is complete without a re-do.  Miss Grace's newborn session... it was a bust the first time so I had to revisit them.  Her 6 month and 1 year were okay... but when she was 2 we attempted another session but were rained out.  And the Twinny Twins newborn session?  Had to have a second shot at that session as well.  Their 6 month went great (love 6 month olds!) but this year... well, we had to have two shots at their 1-year session and Grace's 4-year session.  It's a good thing I love this family so much!   And really, how could I tire of taking pictures of such a beautiful family?

Remember this beautiful family?  Well, I was SO excited to meet up with them again and see how much Miss Isabel had grown.  They also added to their family... Titus, the Mini-Goldendoodle.  There are so many images from this session I love.  Its hard to choose which ones to post!

Mommy and Me Mini Session #3

Are these not the 4 most beautiful girls ever?  These poor little ladies were a bit chilly during their session but you wouldn't know it by looking at them would you?  I last saw them about a year ago and boy have they grown!

 Andrew is another little guy I've photographed before.  It has been juuust about 4 years since I last saw him so obviously he's changed A LOT!  I'm super excited to meet his little brother (whom he has dubbed "Hawk") this summer as well!

Mommy & 2 blessings │ Ann Arbor Child Photographer

This was another "secret" Mommy & Me Session, meant to be a surprise for Daddy.  I was so excited to meet up with Charlotte, Max and Sarah once again.  I photographed them before they were born, as newborns, as busy little 1 year olds and now again as almost 2-year olds.  

I won't lie... trying to capture two 22-month olds was no easy task.  Max is ALL boy, feisty, rambunctious and full of life.  Sarah is a bit more reserved- cheerful, sweet and shy and definitely a mommy's girl.  I have adored watching these two grow up!

Now, look at these pictures.... wouldn't you just LOVE to have some of yourself and your children?  Such a short time in their little lives... it goes by so fast.

What a little character!  Joe-Joe had me completely cracking up with his little toddler antics.   He reminded me of a mini-teenager when he talked- he had so much expression!  It was absolutely adorable.  He and his mama blew bubbles, took a little walk, threw sticks and caught a frog.... which Joe-Joe said was TOOOO wet!  

Joe-Joe's session is one of the many Mommy and Me sessions that have been booked.... what pricesless moments he and his mama will have to look back on!

The Tappan Family │ Jackson Michigan Family Photographer

It was a bit chilly the morning of the Tappan's session but they were troopers.  L and H were such well behaved little kiddos.  Shy, but so polite and well behaved.  

I typically am drawn toward black and white photos but not this session.... it just SCREAMS "COLOR" to me.  Their outfits (perfect!) were vibrant and bright and with such a beautiful family, I love these images in color.
