Matilda Jane Mini Sessions: Part 1 | Jackson, Michigan Child Photographer

It's no secret... I've fallen head over heels in love with Matilda Jane Clothing.  90% of the time Amelia is wearing at least one piece of Matilda Jane.  You can't beat the quality and comfort- and originality!   I hosted my first trunk show in February and offered those who shopped at my trunk show a free mini session for their daughters in their new Matilda Jane Clothing.  The mini sessions were SO fun!

Matilda Jane Mini Sessions

I have something really exciting for my clients.... read on!!

I am SO excited to announce that I’m hosting a Matilda Jane Trunk Show at my house on Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 11am-1pm.  It’ll be a fun little get together with snacks and treats.  This is an open house and is open to everyone. If you don’t live near Jackson, MI or can’t make it, read on.  You can still participate!

I found Matilda Jane Clothing when I was pregnant with Amelia (my long awaited for little girl!) and at first scoffed at the prices.  However, I soon found out that the resell value of Matilda Jane holds like no other- and since pieces are made in small quantity  they often become "demanded" and sell for more than retail value!   Not that the reselling point is the reason I buy.... I love love love the quality of the clothes, the little girl style (not mini-teenager!) and the amazing fabrics and patterns.

If you’re not familiar with Matilda Jane clothing yet, you must go check it out here! While at the site, check out their Lookbook or the new Spring line called “Good Hart”  It's named after the tiny town of Hart, Michigan!  I thought it was only appropriate that I choose this line as my first ever trunk show.  At the trunk show, we’ll have the “Good Hart” line available for you to look at and try on your child. Kids are welcome, and encouraged to attend... what little girl doesn't like to play dress up?  Mama items are also available, and little girl sizes start at 12 months and go up to 12 tween!  

Matilda Jane Clothing is only available through trunk shows, so this is your time to come and check it out in person.  If you are interested in ordering items and can’t make it to the trunk show, you can place your order through me.  You can be from anywhere in the USA! Contact me and I’ll give you the details.  :)  It’s super easy.

Here's where it get good....
Since I’m hosting the trunk show, I’m going to offer a special Mini Session this spring, available only for those who purchase $75 or more Matilda Jane Clothing at the trunk show or through the virtual show.  These clothes are a photographer’s dream!  With this special offer, you will get one 20 min. Mini Session of your daughter wearing her new, darling Matilda Jane clothing.  The Mini Session date, location and time slots TBD.  You will receive an online gallery of your images and have the option to purchase prints through your gallery.  Digital files are not included and can be purchased additionally.  Please note, this mini session is for your child only.  If you’d like to have a family or sibling session, please contact me to set a date!

Fall Availability Update

I'm completely booked for September... done, done done.   YAY!  I'm excited to meet up with all these wonderful families on my schedule!

October is ALMOST booked up... I currently have only 2 mini session spots available, so if you want one you'd better email quick!  Those two available sessions are at 5:00pm and 5:30pm on Tuesday, October 9th.

I will probably be squeezing in one, MAYBE two more full sessions later in October and a few in November.  If you're wanting holiday cards, you will need to have your session completed before the first week in November.

For the winter I plan to focus on newborns, and will be offering an incentive if you send some precious new babies my way.  If you refer a newborn session to me (and they book and complete the session) that takes place in November, December, January or February I will give you two 8x10's from your past session, or a complimentary one from an upcoming/future session.

I can't leave you without an image.... here is Ziva.  I did a quick "mini session" for her owners and love this image I captured.  Sweet girl!

I've finally sat down to work on my fall calendar... and here we go!  We are heading into the busiest time of the year for portraits so make sure you grab a spot early!   I cannot hold dates until the date has been confirmed and the session fee is paid.   Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have.

This year's mini sessions will feature two different locations.  One date will be an "urban" downtown setting and the other date will be a nature/fall colors setting.

You will also have the option to purchase all finished (high-res) images from your mini session (10 images) for $250 with rights to reprint as you please.

Are these not the 4 most beautiful girls ever?  These poor little ladies were a bit chilly during their session but you wouldn't know it by looking at them would you?  I last saw them about a year ago and boy have they grown!

 Andrew is another little guy I've photographed before.  It has been juuust about 4 years since I last saw him so obviously he's changed A LOT!  I'm super excited to meet his little brother (whom he has dubbed "Hawk") this summer as well!

It is so exciting for me to continue to watch my clients' children grow up in front of my lens.  I have been photographing this family for just about 4 years... since Caitlin was 2.5 and Gavin was 4 months. And I saw them again last year when Miss Emma was born.  I was so excited to get to photograph yet another stage in their life!
